KING & QUEEN OF THE COURT

ELIGIBILITY

ALL participants must be current USAV members. 

Adults Only - if you are not currently a USAV Member, a one day membership can be purchased for just $5.  

TEAMS

A minimum of 5 teams per division required for play; a maximum of 20 teams allowed per division.

FORMAT

Pool Play Round followed by Championship Round using the following format: 

  • 5 teams on each court play in 3 sets of King/Queen of the Court.
  • First set is 15 minutes.  Team with the least points is out until the next round. 
  • Second set is 15 minutes.  Team with the least points is out until the next round.  
  • Final set: First team to 15 points is the winner or whoever is leading at the end of 15 minutes. 
  • RESEED & DO IT ALL OVER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND!

BASIC RULES

  • Only the King/Queen's side earns points by winning a rally.
  • If the challenge side wins a rally, they don't earn a point but move to the King/Queen's side.  
  • If either side loses the rally, they have to leave the court and wait on deck. 

OFFICIALS

USAV certified officials & scorekeepers provided on every court!


PRIZES AWARDED IN EACH DIVISION!

Championship Round

  • King/Queen of the Court (Top Court): $200
  • Second Place (Top Court): $100

Consolation Court

  • King/Queen of the Consolation Court: Lunch on NCR from the food truck on site.

SPECTATORS

Based on current COVID mandates, spectator attendance at the event is not allowed.  We will update this policy closer to the event.

Tournament spectator policies subject to change without notice.
