Officiating Explanations

As the Club Director, it is your responsibility to communicate with your junior players and coaches on the proper training options that need to be completed prior to their first event.

Junior Player Officiating Options:


Junior Player Scorer, Libero Tracker, and Line Judge Training – required for all juniors to complete no matter their age prior to their first event. Players will receive an S badge on their member card that includes Scorer, Libero Tracker, and Line Judge certifications.


Junior Player First Referee (R1) Training – optional training based on the needs of club and the team that juniors players are a part of. Players will receive a 1 badge on their member card that includes First Referee (R1) certification.


Junior Player Second Referee (R2) Training - optional training based on the needs of club and the team that junior players are a part of. Players will receive a 2 badge on their member card that includes Second Referee (R2) certification.

 

Club Director/Coach Officiating Options:


Coach Officiating Training ONLY: required for all coaches (head and assistant) to complete prior to their first event. Coaches will receive a Junior Referee badge on their member card that includes Junior Referee – Coach certification.


Club Director Training Officiating Training ONLY: required for all club directors to complete prior to the club’s first event. This training will not earn a badge as it is for informational purposes only. NOTE: If you are coaching as well this season, please also complete the Coach Officiating Training ONLY.


Paid Officials Trainings: These trainings are for referees that will be paid to officiate during junior tournaments. If you would like to officiate as well this season, please contact Petra for further information.
