Karlin's Current Certifications
USAV National Official
USAV International Certified Scorer
PAVO National Official (retired)

BIO: Travis began his playing career at Rice University in Texas on their Men's Club team. As most players are, he was required to referee matches at tournaments. Turns out that it paid pretty well to watch a sport that he enjoyed and he found that the players liked to see another player on the stand for their matches.
Travis began refereeing both high school and college in 1990 while in college, including scoring for the South West Conference, and a few appointments as an International Line Judge in Houston, TX for USA men's volleyball tours. Travis served in the Navy and continued to referee during his travels, eventually ending up in Minneapolis in 2000. He received his National scorer in 2001, National referee in 2003, and his certified International Scorer (FIVB) in 2012. Travis received his PAVO National in 2004 and retired in 2016 after 26 years of officiating women's college volleyball. He has served as both a PAVO and USAV rater and Travis served as the Officials Chair for North Country Region from 2007-2011. He was honored at the USA Volleyball Banquet in 2009 for his service to the region and USA Volleyball.
Today Travis serves as an official's rater and trainer at both the local and national level, and continues to officiate USA Volleyball, men's collegiate, and boys high school matches as well as working international matches as the official scorer.

As a non-voting adviser to the Board of Directors, this role does not have a term limit.
