How to Name a Team

North Country Region has put together a "How To " name your teams and create teams guide to  assist clubs on how to best manage rosters in both USA Volleyball - SportsEngine Governing Seasons and Advanced Events Systems (AES)

Team Name Considerations:

  • Do not make the name too long or too short
  • Include the proper club name in the name of the team
  • Include the age division
  • Include the team rank within the age division (you may use a color in the team name but please also use a ranking number tournament directors may not understand your color coding system) See Age Waiver - Grade Team document.
  • If the team includes grade players (e.g. players that do not comply with USAV birthdate requirements but are in the same grade as the eligible players), put an asterisk (*) after the team name
  • If the team is made up of participants with Region memberships, put an “R-“ at the beginning of the team name (See “Region Membership” document for explanation)

Teams must be created in SportsEngine before players or staff are added to those teams.
