A USA Volleyball Governing Season, renamed in SE to Season Management, is the 12 month volleyball year used to determine the start and end of a person's USA Volleyball membership as well as the start and end of a USA Volleyball competitive season. For all 40 Regions the Governing Season begins September 1 and ends August 31.

For Junior Volleyball Clubs, the club will annually determine per Governing Season the following

• team names
• team age divisions
• team rosters (staff and participants)

The information pulled into Season Management rosters is from the club's SE directory. Players and staff eligibility information is a pulled into the roster along with their name and role to determine who is approved or is not approved on a USA Volleyball roster.  This Season Management roster serves as USA Volleyball's and the Region's source of a completed roster.

AES, or Advanced Event Systems, is a volleyball competition and event management software that provides event listing and power ranking services.  ALL North Country Region sanctioned events are listed in AES. A club may register for an NCR sanctioned event prior to the forming of team rosters.

Clubs who register for NCR sanctioned events will sync their SportsEngine (SE) Season Management roster with AES - the SE Season Management roster will pull into AES and then can be added to a tournament for roster verification by the tournament director.

North Country Region provide the following for tournament directors who partner with the Region:

• use of NCR's AES account to post and market tournaments
• assistance with tournament set up (officials, checking rosters, etc..)

North Country Region utilizes AES as an additional means for clubs and tournament directors to ensure that:

• participants are current members of USA Volleyball
• adults working with junior club programs, including USAV certified officials, meet minimum eligibility requirements
• roster verification  for USA Volleyball secondary liability insurance
