North Country Region is excited to announce information for the 28th Annual North Country Region Presidents’ Day Festival.  The festival will feature two days of spirited volleyball competition among teams from many states and regions.

  • Bronze Division played in Rochester, MN (Saturday afternoon start time).
  • Playing sites, per division, will be posted the Friday after the entry deadline.

Deadline to Enter

  • Tuesday, January 9, 2018 – Weekend 1
  • Tuesday, January 16, 2018 – Weekend 2
  • Rosters are not required for entry.
  • If the tournament fills before the deadline, teams will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Tournament schedule will be posted the Tuesday before the event.

Deadline to Enter Roster into AES

  • Tuesday, January 30, 2018  – Weekend 1
  • Tuesday, February 6, 2018 – Weekend 2 
  • If rosters are not submitted by the roster deadline, you may be dropped from the event, without refund.

Pool Play

Teams play in pools Saturday morning or afternoon. All teams are then re-pooled and play Sunday morning based on the results of Saturday’s play.

Exception:  11s is a 1-day event with pool play in the morning and playoffs in the afternoon.


All teams advance to playoffs on Sunday based on the results of pool play.


  • $6 –Adults
  • $4 – Students & Seniors
  • Age 6 & under are free


  • Teams in the Gold division must provide a R2 (down) referee scorer, libero tracker, visual scorer and lines people (who have completed officiating training) for pool play and playoffs. R1 (up) officials are provided for all Gold division matches.  
  • Teams in the Silver and Bronze divisions must provide R1 (up) and R2 (down) referees, scorer, libero tracker, visual scorer and lines people (who have completed an officiating training) for Saturday and Sunday pool play and playoffs.
  • R1 (up) officials will be provided for Sunday afternoon playoff matches in all divisions.   
  • No paid officials will be provided in the 11s division.
  • In the 11s and 12s divisions, a registered adult must be the R1 (up).  In the 13s – 18s divisions, a registered adult must be either the R1 (up) or R2 (down).


Awards will be given for each playoff bracket.
