Certified athletic trainers will be available to tape and assist with minor injuries at the Convention Center. Athletes must provide tape and pre-wrap for any pre-existing needs. Tape and pre-wrap are only provided by the tournament for emergencies.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will be on site.

Rostered Players and Coaches
Pick up your Ace of Clubs Volleyball Festival bag tag under the NCR tent by the Championship Desk.
One bag tag per participant.

• Online Team Check-In will open approximately 1 week prior to the event!
• COACHES OR CLUB DIRECTORS MUST complete Online Team Check-In for their teams prior to tournament play. Paper rosters will not be accepted.

TEAM ENTRY 
To streamline entry into the competition halls and to increase safety for the event the following protocol will occur:

• Participants will have their own entryway into the competition halls
• COACH CHECK IN:
  • coaches can check in themselves and receive their VIP wristband Friday, February 10 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in Hall C of the Minneapolis Convention Center
  • or Saturday, February 11 prior to competition/work assignment at the participant entrance (between halls C and D)

TEAM CHECK IN - Saturday, February 11 ONLY
Saturday, February 11 - teams (players and staff) will enter the competition halls together. Anyone on the team roster will need to be present to enter. This is the only time during the event that team entry is required.

• Coaches - will personally check in with event staff at the participant entry doors to receive their wristbands which must be worn on the coach's wrist
• After coach check in: coach will gather all rostered personnel for the team and proceed into the competition hall
• Players - to gain entry into the tournament (both Saturday adn Sunday) through the participant entryway will need to be wearing a their team's jersey

COACHES LOUNGE

• NCR will have a room available, away from the courts, for participant coaches and club directors to use
• Only coaches/clubs directors who are on a roster and are wearing coach wristband are able to utilize the room

CONTEST ONE: Guess How Many...
Rostered players  in the Ace of Clubs Volleyball Festival can take their best guess to determine how many of a certain candy is in a container. Player who guesses the correct number or is closest to the number without going over will win a whole-lot-a-candy.

Winner announced at NOON on Sunday, February 12th - come to the Championship Desk to pick up your prize.

• only one guess per player
• if more than one player has submitted the correct number (and if not the correct number then the same closest number) then a drawing among the "winners" will determine the final winner
• player(s) submitting more than one guess will be disqualified

CONTEST TWO: Trivia and Social Media
Open to all. An NCR staff member will be roving the tournament to ask volleyball questions, post stories, and challenge tournament participant and attendees on the best social media posts. Contest will occur throughout the duration of the tournament.

CONTEST THREE: Kindness Counts - Teamwork Grant
USA Volleyball Certified Officials working the event AND Ace of Clubs event staff will vote throughout the tournament on what team or teams exhibited kindness and teamwork.  The team or teams selected will have the tournament registration waived for the 2024 Ace of Clubs Volleyball Festival.

• promotes positive athletic competition experiences
• unites participation from players, fans, club staff, officials, and event staff
• recognizes actions on and off the volleyball court

Teamwork Grants will be announced on Friday, February  17th via NCR's social media and and email to the club's club director.

Minneapolis Convention Center prohibits coolers. Please keep coolers in your vehicle or in your hotel room.

The City of Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Convention Center, the Ace of Clubs Event Staff, and fellow participants request that if anyone planning to attend the Ace of Clubs Volleyball Festival has any of  the following less than 24 hours before or during the event:

• fever
• vomiting
• chills
• been exposed to someone with  a communicable disease, virus, etc,,. within 48 hours of the event

to please NOT attend the Ace of Clubs Volleyball Festival out of care and courtesy to other attendees.

North Country Region will dedicate an area for Lost and Found. Unclaimed items will be placed in Lost and Found. If not retrieved prior to the end of the tournament, NCR will donate to a local charity.

Lost cell phones, computers, etc... will be stored securely with NCR event staff. Please ask at the Championship Desk about these items.

Certified USA Volleyball officials will serve as R1's for this event.  The work team for a match will need to provide the following personnel:

• A coach on the work team roster needs to be present at the court his/her team is working
• R2  (can be a coach)
• Score Sheet
• Libero Tracker
• Score Flipper
• 2 line judges

• NCR will have a large room for players to utilize
• No adults, outside of MCC security or tournament staff, may enter this room (no coaches, no parents, etc…)
• This room will be closely monitored by MCC’s Security Staff and NCR Tournament Staff

North Country Region, Minneapolis Convention Center, and/or the City of Minneapolis prohibit the following items and behaviors:

• coolers in Hall C or D or left unattended anywhere in MCC
• personal chairs/lawn chairs/etc..
• laser pointers
• firearms, weapons of any kind
• noise makers
• bullying
• unsportsmanlike behaviors and actions

Our first priority is ALWAYS the safety of our attendees and participants! With the recent uptick in incidents at large-scale events nationwide, we are implementing increased security measures.
This is a private event and organized under the rules and policies of USA Volleyball. Adults working with minor age athletes will meet safety requirements of USA Volleyball.

Only eligible participants, on an official SportsEngine USA Volleyball roster, will be allowed to be on the team bench and meet work team duties.

Spectators are required to show proof of ticket purchase and appropriate hand stamp for entry and subsequent re-entry into the event.

Event Staff may remove any participant or spectator from the venue for inappropriate or dangerous behavior. Refunds will not be provided if removal occurs.
