Officiating Opportunities

Qualified officials needed for the Molten Wisconsin Boys Fest in Waukesha, WI on Feb 2nd and 3rd. Hotel rooms are provided. Please send an email to Julie Voeck, Officials Chair for Badger region, at jvoeck@attglobal.net before December 1st to confirm your spot.
USAV Girls National Qualifier events start March 8th. A complete list of events can be found at: http://www.usavolleyball.org/Juniors/08juniorQualDates.asp You should be a Regional or higher rated official to work at these events. There are limited opportunities for Provisional officials based on need.

USAV Girls JO National Championships will be held June 26th-July 5th in Dallas, TX. You must register for this event on the USAV/PAVO Database page: https://www.pavo.org/onlinedb/ You should be a Junior National or higher rated official to work at this event. There are limited opportunities for Regional officials based on need.
USAV Boys JO National Championships will be held July 2nd-9th in Sandy, UT. You must register for this event on the USAV/PAVO Database page: https://www.pavo.org/onlinedb/ You should be a Junior National or higher rated official to work at this event. There are limited opportunities for Regional officials based on need.
Other opportunities

Clinic Notes - This is from the Advanced Clinic:

A Net Violation only occurs when a player is in the act of playing the ball.

During a deciding game change of sides players must stay on the court and can NOT go to the bench to grab anything - including water bottle. It gives that team an unfair advantage.

Officiating Reminders

Provisional and Regional ratings expire on Oct 31st. Please check the expiration date of your rating on the web site.

Officials rating dates: January 12/13 @ Midwest Volleyball Warehouse, January 20 @ Ralia Sports Center, January 27 @ Rochester NVC & Heartland Select. All rating dates will start at 1:30 PM. Please register through Candy at candyk@ncrusav.org.

Reminder that all officials need to take Form A of the USAV test online (http://www.ncrusav.org/officials_howto_onlinetest.html). When you complete the test online, you will be sent the results via email. Any incorrect answers need to be corrected with the rule reference and returned to travis@ncrusav.org in order to fullfill the requirements fro 2008.

Regional and higher officials need to be certified as Regional Scorekeepers. If you are not certified, you will need to take the exam online (http://www.ncrusav.org/officials_howto_onlinetest.html) and complete a rating at one of the rating sites. If you are currently certified, then you just need to complete the test and correct it to 100%. (http://www.ncrusav.org/resources/07OfficialRankings.pdf)
