This newsletter is an informational publication that is sent out approximately ten times per year. It is sent to all registered members (18 years and older) with a valid e-mail address. More detailed information can be found at www.ncrusav.org.

North Country Region represents Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the upper peninsula of Michigan.

IMPORTANT NEWS

  1. AVP Hot Winter Nights Tour-Join the Hottest Beach Party when AVP Beach Volleyball comes to Minneapolis on January 29th. Call 612-673-1311. Be sure to mention North Country Region for discounted tickets.
  2. The Concordia University volleyball team became the first Division II women's volleyball team to repeat as they defeated #2 CSU San Bernardino in the 2008 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship at the Gangelhoff Center. Congratulations!

  3. Presidents' Day Festival Site informaiton and other details will be posted as soon as possible.

  4. Pre-order a program $6 for Presidents' Day Festival. Deadline is January 30, 2009.

  5. Recruiting Guide-Players interested in having their information included for College Coaches attending Presidents' Day Festival should get their information in as soon as possible.

  6. NOTE: Junior Officials Clinics-Team Rep/Club Director/Coach-please bring your e-mail registration confirmation to the clinic you are attending. If you have not registered for a junior officials clinic please contact Cara ext. 16.

  7. Attention tournament directors: if you are interested in having paid officials for your event, please contact Cara ext. 16.

  8. Uniform information-Uniforms numbered 1-99, centered on front (4”) on back (6”) highly recommended (6”) on front and (8”) on back.

  10. Background Screenings-Any adult involved with a junior team must have a background screen and be a member (of North Country Region). The screen is good for two seasons. If your name is NOT on the list you will need to be screened this season.

1/10-Whitney Rec Center-St. Cloud-Men 6's/Women 6's
1/11-Whitney Rec Center-St. Cloud-Coed 6's
1/24-Kennedy Act. Ctr-Bloomington-HiLo 6's

JUNIOR BOYS

Divisions:
Coed Elementary: 6th grade and under
Junior High: 7th-9th grade
Senior High: 10th-12th grade

  • JUNIOR GIRLS

    Ages 18 and under

    IMPACT COACHES CLINIC

    All coaches need to be IMPACT certified in order to coach.

  • Current IMPACT schedule
  • If interested in hosting an IMPACT Coaching Clinic for 08-09 season, please complete the request form.
  • You only need to attend one IMPACT clinic during the duration of your JO coaching career. However, you may attend additional clinics at no cost.
  • Check out your IMPACT certification status

    • Dates for the Advanced Training clinics are posted.
    • If interested in becoming a Junior Officials Clinician please contact Cara ext. 16.
    • Officiating opportunities are available, please go to our website to see which tournaments you would like to sign up for.
    • If you are interested in working at the 19th Annual Presidents’ Day Tournament please contact Cara
    • The Referee and Scorekeeping exams are available online.

    • There is a new referee training website (it does cost money). The videos are the only training videos sanctioned by USA Volleyball.
