IMPORTANT NEWS

  2. Commitment Letter can be viewed prior to tryouts. Please read carefully as many programs are using this document. Questions, call Ken 800-657-6967 ext.12
  3. IT IS REQUIRED THAT ALL CLUBS AND COACHES FOLLOW THE RECRUITING POLICY. IF YOU KNOW OF ANY VIOLATIONS, PLEASE CONTACT KEN AT EXT.12.
  4. 18th Annual Presidents' Day Festival tournament divisions have changed for some age divisions. Please see website for details.
  5. Club directors the Presidents' Day Festival tournament has filled fast in previous years. Please send entries as soon as possible.
  6. Congratulations to Marie Godwin (Chaska, MN) and Erin Cusac (Pine River, MN) on winning the USA Beach Junior Open Women's 20 and under tournament. Marie and Erin are former junior players! Nice Job!
  7. Congratulations to Tom Fuglestad (Maple Grove, MN) on his article "Classroom on the Court: Five Lessons for Teaching the Sport of Volleyball" in VolleyballUSA magazine.

  9. Background Screenings-Any adult involved with a junior team must have a background screen and be a member (of North Country Region). The screen is good for two seasons. If your name is NOT on the list you will need to be screened this season.
  10. North Country Region USA Volleyball is looking for advertisers for the 18th Annual Presidents' Day Festival program. Contact Judy (ext. 10) to reserve your space.
  11. Looking for officials for the 18th Annual Presidents' Day Festival (Feb 17). Contact Cara (ext. 16) to sign-up.
  12. National Girls and Women Sports Day is a time to celebrate the accomplishments in girls and women sports, to recognize our Minnesota leaders and athletes. Nominate someone you know.

      1. Coed Elementary: 6th grade and under
      2. Junior High: 7th-9th grade
      3. Senior High: 10th-12th grade

JUNIOR GIRLS

Ages 18 and under

IMPACT COACHES CLINIC

All coaches need to be IMPACT certified in order to coach.

  • Current IMPACT Coaches Clinic Schedule
  • If interested in hosting an IMPACT Coaching Clinic for 07-08 season, please complete the request form.
  • You only need to attend one IMPACT clinic during the duration of your JO coaching career. However, you may attend additional clinics at no cost.
  • Check out your IMPACT certification status

OFFICIALS

  • Officials needed for 18th Annual Presidents' Day Festival-Feb. 17th. Contact Cara (ext. 16 or cara@ncrusav.org)
  • There will be an electronic OFFICIALS BULLETIN every month. If you would like to receive it, contact Cara.
  • Advanced Officials Clinic Training /Junior Clinician Training dates are posted. You only need to attend one.
  • The Referee and Scorekeeping exams are available online.
  • If you are interested in becoming a clinician for junior officials clinics please contact Candy (ext 11).
  • All teams and players can view the scorekeeping PowerPoint presentation online. If you do not have PowerPoint, you may download a view by clicking here.
