Testing

Officials are required to take and pass, BOTH the Referee and the Scorer's test to be a Certified Official. Additionally, for each incorrect answer, the official will be required to submit the correct answer along with the DCR reference. This process will be described in detail with an automated response to your email after you take the test.

Clinics

Advanced Officials Clinic *updated 02/06/13
  • Advanced Clinics are held at a variety of locations throughout the Region.

    • Please see the schedule for the clinic nearest you or for a date that works for you.
  • Advanced Clinics provide training for both Refereeing and Scoring.
  • At the conclusion of each Advanced Officials Clinic, details for becoming or continuing as a clinician for Junior Ref/Score Clinic will be provided.
  • Additionally, information about Teach-n-Train sessions and the Rating team will be covered.
USAV National Clinic
  • NCR is hosting this clinic on Friday, Feb 15th starting at 6:30 pm in the Metro area.  Clinic is approximately 3 hours in length.
  • Attendance by Jr National and National referees is required annually.  You will receive a code (by email from Kathy) after your National dues are paid.
  • For Provisional and Regional referees, attendance is optional and there is a clinic fee of $25 if you pre-register at least 1 week before the clinic.
