They are utilized as a representative of NCR on and off the court, while reflecting the values of courtesy to NCR members and respect to the NCR staff and board members. The NCR Official is expected to conduct themselves in the manner described in the USAV Competition Regulations handbook and any other way requested by the NCR staff to help enhance the quality of competition in a helpful way.
How to be in good standing: An NCR Official is in good standing once their annual membership dues are submitted and they have attended the Advanced Official Clinic. They must remember that they are representatives of the rules and values of North Country Region and remain respectful to its members and staff.
It is mandatory that all Officials working in NCR become a member prior to their assignment. It is mandatory that Officials attend the Advanced Official Clinic annually to be certified to work at the following NCR events: The Presidents’ Day Festival, Regional National Qualifier, Area Championships, Junior Clinics, and Teach ’n’ Train or Rating Sessions. It is highly recommended, but not mandatory, to attend the Advanced Official Clinic prior to working any other NCR sanctioned event. Any questions on how to become a member of NCR can be directed to the Officials Coordinator.
