Dear Member:

This newsletter is an informational publication that is sent out approximately ten times per year. It is sent to all registered members (18 years and older) with a valid e-mail address. More detailed information can be found at www.ncrusav.org.

North Country Region represents Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the upper peninsula of Michigan.
IMPORTANT NEWS

  1. Our phone extenstions have changed!! Please listen carefully to the phone message. New extensions are on the right hand side of the newsletter.

  2. New-Rulebooks will be printed every two years. The rulebook you receive this year will be for 2009-10 and the 2010-11 seasons.

  3. Registration information is posted online.

  4. Uniform information-Uniforms numbered 1-99, centered on front (4") on back (6") highly recommended (6") on front and (8") on back.

  5. North Country Region members receive discounted tickets for University of Minnesota volleyball.

  6. GRADUATING SENIORS-just a reminder you can still play volleyball or brush up on your skills with the help of North Country Region. Please check out the adult tournament schedule and educational skills clinics.

  7. Looking for Presidents' Day Festival courts. Please contact Sue (ext 3 or sue@ncrusav.org).

  8. Become a fan of the NCAA Volleyball.

  9. Kaepa USA, Inc, Official Outfitter of NCR, is currently accepting applications for Junior Clubs who may be interested in becoming a Kaepa Sponsored Club. Available slots for the 2009/2010 season are limited. Please contact sama@kaepa-usa.com for more information.

  11. Background Screenings-Any adult involved with a junior team must have a background screen and be a member (of North Country Region). The screen is good for two seasons. If your name is NOT on the list you will need to be screened this season.

JUNIOR BOYS (Ages 18 and under)

Divisions:

  • Coed Elementary: 6th grade and under
  • Junior High: 7th-9th Grade
  • Senior High: 10th-12th grade

  • JUNIOR GIRLS (Ages 18 and under)

    IMPACT COACHES CLINIC

    All coaches need to be IMPACT certified in order to coach.

    • Impact Coaches Clinics will begin December 2009
    • You only need to attend one IMPACT clinic during the duration of your JO coaching career. However, you may attend additional clinics at no cost.
    • If interested in hosting an IMPACT Coaching Clinic for 2009-10 season, please complete the request form.
    • We will be posting our 2009-10 IMPACT Coaches Clinic Schedule on Oct 1st.

  • OFFICIALS

    • North Country Region will be hosting a National Clinic for Officials on Oct 25th in Bloomington.

    • Advanced Clinics schedule is posted.

    • If interested in assisting the Region by working as a clinician observer, rater and/or Teach-n-Train sessions please contact Cara (ext 5 or cara@ncrusav.org).
